VISITORS WELCOME; no charge at regular meetings.

Executive meeting usually held in the afternoon of the same day as the Monthly Meetings.

2008 PROGRAMS FOR 2008

May 9th, 2008 -- Joan Griffin, former Chair of Kent Branch, was our speaker. Topic: "The Irish in Kent County and Their Origins in Ireland".

June 13th, 2008 -- Arthur Pegg: "Research and Excavation of Berlin Gaol, Kitchener, Ontario." -- Arthur Pegg is known as a Regional Historian.

FALL AND WINTER ROSTER OF SPEAKERS - 2008

November 14th, 2008
Jerry Hind is tireless in his research of Kent County veterans who served in World War I and World War II. In his presentation, Jerry will bring to life the stories of some of these young men who served King and country.

December 12th, 2008
Rosemary and Craig Mitton of Ridgetown own and operate Mitton's Jewellery Store. They run a very successful family business in their hometown and have pride in their community. This branch of the Mitton family originated in Shropshire, England. Through the centuries in Canada, their ties have become many in the local community. Join us for our annual Christmas Dinner at the Active Lifestyles Centre to hear the Mittons , our guest speakers for the evening. Dinner tickets to be available in November.

The designated speaker for October has had to cancel! That is Thanksgiving weekend and he is to attend a grandson's lst birthday celebration as well as a reunion. October 10th will be a meeting where I/we will have to pull something out of the hat!
